Back from Vacay!
That’s right, Caroline is back from her trip to the cold mid-western state of Michigan. “It was -20 degrees and beautiful. Absolutely wonderful to be back in winter. I’ve missed the seasons.” Certainly a sentiment this decade long resident of San Francisco never thought she would hear herself say. Regardless, Caroline was reacquainted with true rural life again. The way the birds are colored, feeding their mates. Reminded of a farmer’s forethought as to what to grow and can to enjoy through these cold months. “It’s funny to me now, to see a lifestyle so eschewed in the mid ’80’s to late 90’s suburban sprawl become a marketing tool for so many so far removed from this lifestyle. I grew up going to a farm on the weekends and on weekdays in the summer. My father taught me the value of understanding a mechanism, any mechanism so that you can create the best & get the most use of every penny spent on it. Be it a jar of preserves or a new car.” Returning to her roots allowed for a new mindset towards this marketing trend in beauty. “I realized, I’m happy to see suburbanized Americans opening their minds to beauty in nature. Realizing that anyone can tune into the magic of plants, fresh air and self reliance is a beautiful thing for everyone.” https://instagram.com/p/zspeFupDyc/?modal=true
