We’ve been working on our “beach bums” here at Skin Therapy. Yes, professional beauty gals get cellulite too. What with the festival circuit starting as well as camping trips, beach jaunts and those bachelorette Vegas-style pool parties popping up, we needed to “get a grip on our dimps”. Using the tools at our disposal, we worked on a protocol to increase circulation, provide palpable firming and smooth out texture on the bottom of our bums & back of thighs. Now, consistency is key to achieving & maintaining results. You MUST devote 5 to 8 minutes per day to those Beach Bums & drink plenty of hydrating fluids. Let us show you how with our new Cellulite Beach Bum Body Treatment ($75, 30 min). Complete with lymphatic massage and LED light therapy to target fat cells, you’ll be trying on bathing suits in no time.
Using Weleda’s Birch Cellutilte Oil, a blend apricot, jojoba and wheat germ oil infused with Birch Extract & Butcher’s Broom to induce change in the skin, we did a 2 minute massage to penetrate and promote circulation. Dry brushing is also key. Prior to applying our Cellulite Oil, we did min. 1.5 minutes of dry brushing on the thighs and buttocks Skin Therapy has promoted Dry Brushing for years:
Commonly referred to as Butcher’s Broom, this prickly plant is indigenous to the Mediterranean region. It is made up of a strong root system, which has long been used to treat congestions. Butcher’s Broom is well known for its vasoconstrictive, anti-inflammatory and dehydrating effects. The roots help to relieve pain and heaviness in the limbs, as well as cramping and swelling.
Commonly referred to as Birch, the leaves and bark from which the extract is derived come from the Birch Tree. Birch is known for its purifying and detoxifying effects. The plant encourages the excretion of fluids and promotes metabolic activities.
